noisy??
Sean is living in an old fourplex. He has a downstairs neighbor who supposedly is well into her 90s. Now, we are four traffic lanes away from a railroad, and the trains go by quite frequently. They honk almost all the way by because of all the intersections. If you really hold still, the floor does vibrate while the train goes by. Furthermore, this is a rather busy highway out front here. If you don't have a train going by, there may be three or four trucks and several cars at any given moment.
The other night, Abby was being a successful four year old, chasing a ball, running to grab it, and jumping here and there during her little game.
Over the din of all the traffic, trains, television, and children at play, comes a very loud "thump thump thump" from downstairs. Granny's pounding on her ceiling with her broom!!! Or cane...
How is it that Abby's jumping can bother her and yet, she lives here in possibly the noisiest apartments short of being next to an airport???
Take out the hearing aid already!

Got to love old people!! Cant here the door bell but she can here a 30 pounds baby running on the floor. Just stomp back at her and say what tune are we playing....hehehe

Yeah, apartments suck! That is why I am so glad we have a house! I would have worried all the time about our neighbors if he was crying too much or this or that...I know what it is like to live below children...not fun but I don't understand how she can stand all the external noises and not say a word and then BAM...this noise decides to bother her...hmmmm weird....
