Nine nein
So nine is my lucky number. Therefore 9/9/09 should be a super duper lucky day for me, right?
As yet, I don't think anything lucky has happened.
So Abby is one busy girl lately. She has piano on Tuesday, Awana on Wednesday, and WANTS to go to Sunday school; plus spelling lists and other regular school homework. She is breezing through the spelling tests and the reading book. They get spelling words on Friday. Monday is a test. Then come Friday, there is a "make up" test. If you missed any on Monday, you get whichever score is higher. If they get 100% on Monday, they get "challenge" words on the Friday test. But the challenge words don't count for points.
Piano is going ok. The lady still weirds me out, but Abby seems to like her.
Nathan is busy messing up the house for me. He rescues all the toys from their toy boxes everyday. And I wish I had some potty news to share, but the boy has shown no interest at all. He starts gymnastics at the Y tomorrow, so maybe he'll become more aware of his body and get the idea. I felt like a bit of a failure tonight at Awana. Nathan is the biggest boy in the nursery room, and all his little friends he played with last year are now in the "Cubbies" class. Cubbies have to be 3...AND POTTY TRAINED. Oh how tired I am of that little caveat. The Y has parent nights out...but the kids must be potty trained. Chef's Academy has parent nights out...if the kids are potty trained. Once he figures this out, a whole new world awaits. So frustrating.
And Sean has begun talking about our next assignment. Apparently, he is listed as "excess" because we've been here three years. Thus, they won't be taking us to Fort Knox when this building closes down. So now, the "Geography Dartboard" game begins. He's heard there is really nothing in Europe or Alaska. He has heard of something in Seattle. We're waiting for the new list to come out. Feels like last call at a bar. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.

Put him in plain old underwear (not the thick ones), just some boy underwear (take him to the store to pick them out himself)...let him pee in them and poop in them (I threw the ones Decovin pooped in away)...he will become aware...:-) Good luck!
