Umm, so you remember that scene in ET when the mom is looking in the closet and she sees a bunch of stuffed animals, uh, and ET is right in the middle of them, but he's supposed to be a secret and he's right in front of her but she doesn't even notice he's not a stuffed animal? You remember that?

That was AWESOME!

Abby's latest quirk is piling all the animals on her bed and moving them around. I dunno what game she is playing or where she learned it, but it seems to occupy her for hours, so hey, what a great game! Lately, she doesn't even want to move them when it is time for bed, so this huge full-size bed is piled with stuffing and fur, and Abby carves out a tiny corner just big enough for her to sleep. The part that gets me, though, is that she KNOWS each and every animal she has, and if one is missing, or has dropped between the bed and the wall, she KNOWS it is missing and will ask me to find it by name. "Where's monkey?" or "Where's giraffe baby?" (A baby face dressed in a giraffe outfit like Anne Geddes) And sure enough, when I look between the bed and the wall, there's giraffe baby. It's like, out of this huge mountain of fluff, how in the world did she know one was gone?

Kids are a hoot.
